After logging into the IRK system, open the “My Account” section, then go to the “Personal Forms” tab.
In the following sections:
- fill in your personal details, address, and contact information,
- provide information about your high school and bachelor diploma (if you have not received your certificate yet, fill in only the fields marked with a red asterisk – document type, year of issue, and country of issue), upload the documents required for qualification (the apostille/legalization can be submitted at a later stage).
Please remember that the photo should:
- be clear,
- have a uniform, light background,
- show your entire head (from the top) and the upper part of your shoulders; your face should take up 70–80% of the photo and be directly facing the camera.
Sign up for your chosen study program (you can choose up to 6 programs).
If you register more than one application, remember to set your priorities. The programme that is your first choice should be marked with the highest priority — “1”.
Pay the application fee to your individual account number in the IRK system or via the payment gateway in the “Payments” tab.
The application fee is 85 PLN.
Candidates applying for programs conducted in Polish or English are required to provide a certificate confirming language proficiency at a level no lower than B2, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 30 July 2025 on the types of documents confirming knowledge of the language of instruction in higher education programs.
- Wait for your application to be reviewed and for information on whether you meet the admission requirements
- Upload the remaining missing documents in the IRK system
- Please check the notification from IRK. The tuition fee should be paid according to the fee schedule to your individual account in the USOS system: https://web.usos.pwr.edu.pl
- If you have the right to tuition-free admission, verify that the document attached in the IRK system is current
- Check in the IRK system the admission decision, the certificate of admission, the letter to the Embassy/Consulate (if applicable), and the results of the mandatory entrance exam (if applicable)
- If you do not have legal residence in Poland, please check the list of documents required for obtaining a student visa on the website of the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Poland in your country and apply for the visa

Candidates applying for programs conducted in Polish or English are required to provide a certificate confirming language proficiency at a level no lower than B2, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 30 July 2025 on the types of documents confirming knowledge of the language of instruction in higher education programs.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE
- certificate, diploma, or other document confirming proficiency in the foreign language in all four skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing, at B2, C1, or C2 level, issued by, for example:
• University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations: B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), B2 Business Vantage (BEC Vantage), C1 Business Higher, CEIBT;
• University of Cambridge, ESOL Examinations, British Council, IDP IELTS Australia: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – minimum 5.5 points;

• ETS: TOEFL iBT – minimum 72 points; TOEIC – minimum: 785 points in Listening & Reading, 150 points in Speaking, 160 points in Writing;
• Pearson Assessment English: PTE Academic (on-site and online) – minimum 59 points;
• European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages – Level B2 (Vantage) or higher;
• telc GmbH, WBT Weiterbildungs-Testsysteme GmbH: Certificate in English, Certificate in English for Technical Purposes, telc English Technical, etc. - certificate of completion of a preparatory course for studies, lasting no less than 9 months, including the preparatory English language course at Wrocław Tech
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or long-cycle Master’s degree in Philology (in the given foreign language) or Applied Linguistics, issued by a university under the higher education system of the Republic of Poland or a foreign university, together with a diploma supplement or certificate confirming that the number of hours of classes in that foreign language was at least 500
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or long-cycle Master’s degree issued by a university under the higher education system of the Republic of Poland or a foreign university, indicating the language of instruction; if the diploma does not include this information, a diploma supplement or certificate must be provided

medical certificate issued by Polish occupational doctor stating that there are no contraindications to start the studies in the chosen field and form of study
applies only for candidates applying for the Faculty of Chemistry and Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology. List of clinics in Dolnośląskie Voivodeship (If the candidate does not have a medical certificate, it is necessary to sign the statement that the medical cerificate will be delivered later – to a dean’s office of the faculty). A referral to an occupational medicine doctor, at the candidate’s request, is issued by the Foreign Student Admissions Office after registering and paying for the application fee (we currently recommend via e-mail, just write to admission@pwr.edu.pl and ask for such a referral, it is worth making sure that the clinic accepts the referral scan)

Application fee
The application fee is calculated based on the number of study programmes selected by the candidate.
A candidate may choose up to six study programmes. The amount of the application fee per programme is as follows:
- PLN 85
New application = new registration
Please note: An individual bank account number (with a unique ID) is generated for each candidate and each application. Make sure to transfer the fee to the correct account number assigned to a specific application. The account number is visible in the application summary in the online registration system of Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
Application Fee Refund
The application fee is a one-time, non-refundable payment, unless the candidate withdraws their application before the end of the registration period.
A candidate is entitled to a refund in the event that a study programme is not launched due to too few applications. This applies to one or multiple study programmes.
How to request a refund:
- Download and fill out the refund form:

– Template for candidates with a foreign bank account – download - Fill in the form legibly and accurately, especially the bank account details.
- The refund can only be made to the same bank account from which the payment was originally made.
- The processing time for refunds is approximately 4–6 weeks from the moment a correctly completed form is submitted.

There are no exams for second-level studies.
