After logging into the IRK system, open the “My Account” section, then go to the “Personal Forms” tab.
In the following sections:
- fill in your personal details, address, and contact information,
- provide information about your high school and bachelor diploma (if you have not received your certificate yet, fill in only the fields marked with a red asterisk – document type, year of issue, and country of issue), upload the documents required for qualification (the apostille/legalization can be submitted at a later stage).
Please remember that the photo should:
- be clear,
- have a uniform, light background,
- show your entire head (from the top) and the upper part of your shoulders; your face should take up 70–80% of the photo and be directly facing the camera.
Sign up for your chosen study program (you can choose up to 6 programs).
If you register more than one application, remember to set your priorities. The programme that is your first choice should be marked with the highest priority — “1”.
Pay the application fee to your individual account number in the IRK system or via the payment gateway in the “Payments” tab.
The application fee is 85 PLN.
Check the list of documents confirming proficiency in Polish/English at a minimum B2 level
- Wait for your application to be reviewed and for information on whether you meet the admission requirements
- Upload the remaining missing documents in the IRK system
- Please check the notification from IRK. The tuition fee should be paid according to the fee schedule to your individual account in the USOS system: https://web.usos.pwr.edu.pl
- If you have the right to tuition-free admission, verify that the document attached in the IRK system is current
- Check in the IRK system the admission decision, the certificate of admission, the letter to the Embassy/Consulate (if applicable), and the results of the mandatory entrance exam (if applicable)
- If you do not have legal residence in Poland, please check the list of documents required for obtaining a student visa on the website of the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Poland in your country and apply for the visa

Candidates for studies conducted in Polish or English are required to present a certificate confirming knowledge of the language at a level not lower than B2 in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Foreign prospective student applying for study in English should provide:
- English language proficiency certificate at the level of: at least 6.5 IELTS General points, or at least 6 IELTS Academic points, or at least 87 TOEFL points, or Cambridge English language certificates: B2 First (grade at least C), C1 Advanced (each grade) C2 Proficiency, or FCE, CAE, CPE or Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) certificate — at least 700 points, etc.
- a certificate of completion of a school abroad corresponding to a post-primary school within the meaning of Art. 2 item 2 letter b of the Act of 14 December 2016 – Education Law, in which teaching in a given foreign language was conducted
- a diploma of completion of studies in the field of philology in a given foreign language or applied linguistics at a university operating within the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland or abroad, if during the studies the number of hours of classes in that foreign language, confirmed by a diploma supplement or a certificate, was at least 500
- a secondary school leaving certificate with a positive grade in the secondary school leaving examination in English at an advanced level, with a score of at least 60%, obtained in the Republic of Poland
- IB or EB diploma
- a certificate of acquisition of the right to practice as a sworn translator of a given foreign language issued by the Minister of Justice, referred to in art. 5 sec. 2 of the Act of 25 November 2004 on the profession of a sworn translator, or a certificate confirming entry on the list of sworn translators of a given foreign language
- a certificate issued after conducting an English language exam by Wrocław Tech, e.g. after an online English language interview at Wrocław Tech. The grade obtained at this interview should demonstrate knowledge of English at a level of at least B2. Registration for the interview – in the IRK system (link will be available soon).
POLISH LANGUAGE
Foreign prospective student applying for study in Polish should provide:
- certificate of knowledge of the Polish language issued by the State Commission for the Certification of Knowledge of Polish as a Foreign Language www.certyfikatpolski.pl
- a certificate confirming knowledge of the Polish language issued by ECL or TELC
- a certificate of completion of a One-year Preparatory Course for studies at university, including a Preparatory Polish language course at Wrocław Tech
- a diploma of completion of studies with Polish as the language of instruction at a university operating in the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland
- a certificate of completion of a school abroad corresponding to a post-primary school within the meaning of Art. 2 item 2 letter b of the Act of 14 December 2016 – Education Law, in which teaching was conducted in Polish
- a secondary school leaving certificate with a positive grade in the secondary school leaving examination in Polish at an advanced level, with a result of at least 60%, obtained in the Republic of Poland
- a certificate of acquisition of the right to practice as a sworn translator issued by the Minister of Justice, referred to in art. 5 section 2 of the Act of 25 November 2004 on the profession of a sworn translator (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1326) or a certificate confirming entry on the list of sworn translators
- a certificate issued after conducting a Polish language exam by Wrocław Tech, e.g., after an online interview on Polish language skills at Wrocław Tech. The grade obtained during this interview should demonstrate knowledge of Polish at a level of at least B2. Registration for the interview – in the IRK system (link will be available soon).
medical certificate issued by Polish occupational doctor stating that there are no contraindications to start the studies in the chosen field and form of study
applies only for candidates applying for the Faculty of Chemistry and Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology. List of clinics in Dolnośląskie Voivodeship (If the candidate does not have a medical certificate, it is necessary to sign the statement that the medical cerificate will be delivered later – to a dean’s office of the faculty). A referral to an occupational medicine doctor, at the candidate’s request, is issued by the Foreign Student Admissions Office after registering and paying for the application fee (we currently recommend via e-mail, just write to admission@pwr.edu.pl and ask for such a referral, it is worth making sure that the clinic accepts the referral scan)
document confirming the right to apply for tuition-free full-time studies (if applicable)
e.g., EU ID, confirmation of PESEL number with UKR status (for Ukrainian citizens, certificate issued no earlier than one month before submitting documents), Polish Card (Karta Polaka), opinion on Polish origin, permanent residence card, State Certificate of Polish Language Proficiency at level C1 or a copy of the decision to issue this certificate

Documents must be submitted in person according to the admission schedule for international candidates. Additionally:
- both photocopies and original documents are required for verification
- the student must present a valid identity document for inspection (passport or ID card)
