Full-time studies are free for:
- citizens of the Member State of the European Union, the Swiss Con-federation or of the Member State of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – the parties to the European Economic Area Agreement as well as members of their family living in the Republic of Poland,
- foreigners who have been granted a residence permit or the EU long-term residence permit,
- foreigners who have been granted a stay permit in connection with the circumstances referred to in Art. 159 sec. 1 or Art. 186sec. 1 point 3 or 4 of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners,
- foreigners who have the status of refugee granted in the Republic of Poland or is under temporary protection or subsidiary protection in the Republic of Poland,
- holders of the Polish Charter or people who have been issued a decision on the determination of the Polish origin,
- foreigners who are spouses, ascendants or descendants of citizens of the Republic of Poland, living in the Republic of Poland,
- foreigners – holders of a certificate confirming the knowledge of Polish as a foreign language, referred to in Art. 11a sec. 2 of the Act of 7 October 1999 on the Polish language, at least at C1 language proficiency level, more www.certyfikatpolski.pl
- foreigners who have been granted a stay permit in connection with the circumstances referred to in Art. 151 sec. 1 or Art. 151b sec. 1 of the Act of 12 December 2013 on Foreigners, or staying in the Republic of Poland in connection with the use of short-term mobility of a scientist under the conditions set out in Art. 156b sec. 1 of this Act or holding a national visa in order to conduct scientific research or development work.
The above-mentioned foreigners do not pay for the studies in Polish and may be exempt from tuition fees for studies in English.
