Applied Computer Science at the Faculty of Computer Science and Management turned out to be the most popular field of studies in terms of the number of candidates per place in admission for full-time Bachelor studies in 2021, with over seven applicants applying for one place.
Systems Engineering at the Faculty of Computer Science and Management (6.41 people for one place) and Algorithmic Computer Science at the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology (5.75 people per place) were also very popular.
The following fields of study were also very popular: Cybersecurity at the Faculty of Electronics and Management at the Faculty of Computer Science and Management (4.32 people per one place)
The Admission Indexes of candidates in 2021 were as follows:

- Third place among technical universities, sixth place in the general ranking, and – as usual – the first place in Lower Silesia. These are the results of Wrocław University of Science and Technology in the 2020 Ranking of Universities conducted by the Perspektywy Foundation.
- In the same ranking, the Civil Engineering degree programme (Faculty of Civil Engineering) was recognised as Poland’s best, while second place was taken by Chemical Technology and Chemical Engineering (Faculty of Chemistry).
- Also among the best degree programmes in the country were Architecture (Faculty of Architecture), Biotechnology (Faculty of Chemistry), Electronics and Telecommunications (Faculty of Microsystem Electronics and Photonics), Electrical Engineering (Faculty of Electrical Engineering), Mining and Geology (Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining, and Geology), Machine Mechanics and Construction (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering), and Mechatronics (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering).
- We are the biggest employer in Wrocław.
- A large number of our graduates find employment already while pursuing their degree programmes, and 70% of them find jobs within three months, at the latest, after receiving their diplomas.
- Graduates of Wrocław University of Science and Technology are ranked third in Poland in terms of median earnings.
- Thanks to the innovative research, WUST has been a leader in innovation for years, and in this respect, we rank top in the reports of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. On average, the university files over 100 invention and utility model applications a year.

One of the biggest attractions, not only of the university itself but also of Wrocław itself, is the “Polinka” cable car, which connects the Geocentrum complex with the Main Campus. It is Poland’s only cross-river urban cable car operating on a shuttle basis. |
