Wrocław University of Science and Technology is located in a beautiful part of town, between the bridges over the Oder and near green spaces. The entire infrastructure of this island city (303 bridges and overpasses) encourages cyclists and cycling trips, which is perfect for students as well as a good alternative to traffic jams and crowded trams.
You can ride a bike around:
Centennial Hall and The Zoo
One of the largest architectural works of the twentieth century by Max Berg, Centennial Hall is the site of numerous exhibitions, festivals, conferences and concerts. Multimedia fountain, pergola, Japanese garden and a beautiful spacious Szczytnicki park, especially in the summer, make Centennial Hall a meeting place for citizens of Wrocław, as well as visitors and students.
Literally across the street, you can find Wrocław Zoo. Systematically overhauled and modernized for several years, it provides comfortable conditions to animals. You will be enchanted after visitng the butterflies section, and numerous aquariums, which reflect the different continents’ ecosystems.
Ostrów Tumski
This is where the entire history of Wrocław has begun. This is the place where some people get to feel the effects of Earthchakras. We know for sure that Ostrów Tumski is a magical Island, full of gothic atmosphere where you can smell incense, and feel the breath of history dating back almost 2000 years. The island has a beautiful botanical garden, which is an ideal haven of rest.
Market Square
Wrocław’s Market Square is teeming with life 24 hours a day. Town Hall, Gothic churches, picturesque houses and a huge amount of pubs, restaurants and bars make it the heart of the city. Visit the Gallery BWA Awangarda and step on the witches bridge at the towers of St. Mary Magdalena.
Słodowa Island
Słodowa Island is a true mecca of students. Located in the middle of the city, it’s a place where students created their own little autonomy. Concerts, drummers, fire shows, barbecues, juggling and fun from dusk till dawn guaranteed.
Four Temples’ District
This is yet another part of town really worth visiting. The presence of four major religious shrines and the fact that its adherents for centuries lived side by side, make this neighborhood famous for its interesting architecture and unprecedented climate. Today it is a true bars and pubs basin.
